At Maersk, I was part of a team responsible for migrating a legacy ERP system built in Visual FoxPro (VFP) to a modern technology stack. My role involved analyzing and reverse-engineering existing ERP modules to understand the underlying business logic during the R&D phase. Based on this understanding, we re-implemented the user interfaces in Angular for the frontend, rebuilt backend services using .NET Core, and migrated and optimized database queries in SQL Server. This transition modernized the ERP system while preserving core business functionality, improving maintainability, performance, and scalability.
